A major restocking of the PS5 console was played on Amazon US earlier today.
This surprised shoppers, without prior announcement from Amazon.
It was the first major drop in US stocks since the November 12th release date.
It is estimated that thousands of shoppers have picked up the console. Most of the orders are clearly due for delivery between December 30, 2020, and January 5, 2021.
Unfortunately, the majority of shoppers arrive late. Although the site still mentioned the PS5 was available, they did receive an error message when trying to add it to the cart.
This appears when the product is not already in stock, but the front end of the site has not been updated.
How long has Amazon US restored in the past?
The PS5 Disc version was in stock after 11am EST and only lasted 9 minutes before they were all gone. It was back in stock again before 4 PM EST, and only for a minute.
Meanwhile, the digital version of the PS5 was available prior to 12 PM EST and lasted only two minutes.
Any version of PS5 was only available for a maximum of 12 minutes. This was not a surprise How quickly your PS5 can be sold to other retailers.
When will the PS5 return to stock at Amazon US?
There has been no official announcement from Amazon regarding the PS5 restocking.
However, a reliable insider suggested that more would be restocked during January 2021. Besides, Sony’s supply increased significantly early in the year.
